So, a couple of months ago, I asked my friend Krista to watch D for an afternoon. I can't remember what I was doing, but she said OK. Krista's son J is D's bestest friend - they were born just days apart from each other too, so that helps. They've been in MOMS Club together, playgroup and school...Oh! and I can't forget they go to childwach at the gym together sometimes. So, they are together a lot.
As I said, a few months ago, Krista watched D for me. Her husband was off of work, so they decided to take the kiddo's to Chuck E Cheese. Never in my wildest dreams would I EVER think that D would still be talking about this trip. I just want to say, D had been to CEC many times before, so it wasn't a new experience for him. Since this day, at random times in the car I will hear.
"Mom, Krista took me to CEC"
"I went to CEC with J"
"I want to go to CEC with Krista again"
"Can we go to CEC now?" "Krista would take me"
This isn't just a one time sentence, NOOOOOO, that would be too simple and why would I blog about it. No, these "conversations" last anywhere between 5-20min long!! There are time I avoid driving on the 500 past the mall b/c you can see CEC from the road and that only sparks up this annoying conversation.
Yes, I have left nasty messages on Krista's voicemail regarding this incident...more than one time. AND, being a great mom that she is, Krista has "booked" J's birthday party at CEC!! grrrrrrrrrr
