After another hour of searching this morning, I found the blasted remote!!! I kept thinking last night that I need to get a flashlight and look around - like CSI. Move over CSI, I found the remote!!
It fell behind the large TV cupboard, but wedged in before it hit the floor. With all the cable and cords behind the TV, the remote fell behind and was stuck on the cords. When I looked under the TV Stand this morning and last night, I couldn't see it. Got out a flashlight and shined it behind the stand one way - didn't see it, shined it on the other side and DING DING, there it was!
I was going crazy. Crazy no more. The case of the missing remote has been solved.

Where the F is it??!!!
We've lost the remote to the big TV. I saw it earlier on the kitchen table, but now it's nowhere to be found. Now, I do have a cold and I'm on medication, but really? Where is the F'ing thing!!??!! We've looked everywhere. M & D went grocery shopping, came home and unloaded groceries - D was watching TV. When it was time for bed we asked D to turn off the TV. TV was off, so where is the remote?
We've looked in the freezer, fridge, pantry, every cabinet, drawer, couch cushions, under couch, tv stand, toy bins, upstairs, downstairs and even the garage. I was so frustrated that I looked through the garbage I just took out for garbage day!!! I can't believe that it's missing!!! OOOOOHHHHHHH!! It's going to eat at me until it's found!
Stay tuned to the saga of the lost TV remote.

One of THOSE Mom's
YIKES!! I've become one of "those" moms. I dropped D off at school wearing sweats, hoodie, non-brushed teeth, hair combed but not styled AND I wasn't wearing a bra!! I only did this b/c his school has a drop off service and the shower was occupied when I needed it. I didn't have to actually get out of my car at all. I've made fun of mom's like me. The ones that walk to the bus stop wearing slippers and flannel pajamas or better yet, a bathrobe thrown over their jammies.
I've seen it and I cringe for those poor kids. They may only be in grade school and not understand the social impact that could be happening b/c of the outfit mom chose to wear to the bus. I'm not saying that Mom's (or Dad's) need to be dresses to the nines when taking their kids to the bus, but at LEAST put on some jeans, shoes and a coat. MAYBE run some water through your hair so it's not sticking straight up.
So for all of "those" moms out there, I've joined your ranks - at least for today.

Ahhh, fresh salty air
I went to the beach and stayed! WHOOO HOOO!! I got to escape and head to an overnighter at the beach. FUN was had by all who were there! The day started with pizza at one of my favorite places - The Blind Onion, then we headed south to the Woodburn Outlet mall to shop. And shop we did! HOLY MOLY!! 2 pair of shoes and a shirt later, we were off to Lincoln City, OR.
Our plan was to go to a movie and then to the casino. Well we made it to the movie, but all of us were tired and decided to postpone the casino until Sunday. After a hearty breakfast, a walk on the beach, a stone skipping contest, and frozen limbs, we headed off to the casino.
My friends are nameless to keep their winnings and spending spree anonymous. HOWEVER, someone sat down at a penny machine and won $230!! It was the FIRST machine she played!! I had no luck and lost $40 quickly - even at the stupid penny machines.
The beach was a rejuvenating trip. Just what my soul needed.

Get up! Get out! Fire Fire!!
No, we did not have a fire. I was reading a friends blog about changing smoke alarms and that the whole alarm should be changed every 10 years. I did not know this tidbit of info.
However, I did know that traditional smoke alarms fail to wake children. They respond better to talking smoke alarms - ones which a parent records the message. On average, it takes a child 3 min to wake with a traditional alarm and only 20 seconds with a talking alarm. Precious minutes during a real emergency.
I know that in my next living area, I will be removing the traditional alarm and putting up my own talking alarm in D's room. From the research I did on the internet, these alarms cost only $40-$50. Well worth the investment.

Tattoo
As a person who really really wants to get a tattoo and already know the design and placement, I still found this video VERY funny. No, my tat will not be a tramp stamp.

The buzzzzzzzzz
As a buzz agent, I get some pretty cool free products in the mail with coupons to give to my friends. If you don't know what a buzz agent is, it's a person who receives free products to try and then talk about to her friends, pass out coupons and, hopefully, create a buzz about the product. I've received free air freshener, bath/shower cleaner, Sonic toothbrush (that ROCKED), hot sauce (weird), uncrustables...and others that I can't remember, but now I got this new lip stain.
I'm NOT a lipstick wearer. I hate the feeling of them coating my lips. However, this stain doesn't feel like anything!! It's awesome! I'm blogging to promote the product, it's Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain. It's not like the other Outlast lipstick things where you put it on, let it dry and then there is an outer gloss to apply as well. Nope, you just put this on your lips and go. It stains your lips rather than coat them. Love love love it.
For my local friends, I have $1 off coupons if you'd like to try.
