Matt and I were all psyched to go out for NYE. We planned and talked about it all week. However, we didn't anticipate painting the entire lower level of our house - trim, doors and walls. We stayed up every night (Friday - Sunday) until after 1am painting. Plus taking care of David all day. Around 6pm Monday, it hit us...HARD. We were exhausted, but we didn't want to give up the fight. Geeesh, it's NYE for goodness sakes - only happens 1X per year - WE HAVE TO GO OUT!!
Well, that's what our brains said, but our bodies had other plans. So we compromised and decided that we'd see a movie first and then decide whether to hit a bar after. We went and saw National Treasure 2 (it was entertaining) and then just went to Applebee's for a drink and some munchies after. We were home by 11:45.
We rang in the new year standing over Davids crib and giving him kisses at midnight. Kinda sweet and special.
2008 will bring some changes to our family. A new baby will be here and the adjustment to that will be huge! We can't wait to be parents again.
